Another project for the energy transition
G.E.O.S. currently supports the SuedOstLink project team of 50Hertz as a contractor of VOIGT engineers with five colleagues.
With the SuedOstLink project, 50Hertz Transmission GmbH is planning the construction of a new high-voltage direct current transmission link (HVDC link), which will run between the grid connection points Wolmirstedt near Magdeburg and Isar near Landshut over a length of approximately 560 kilometres. 50Hertz is responsible for the northern part of the SouthEastLink along a route of approximately 280 kilometres in the three federal states of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Saxony. The project partner TenneT is responsible for the southern, Bavarian part of the SouthEastLink.
On behalf of VOIGT Engineering GmbH, G.E.O.S. is assisting the project sponsor 50Hertz with the control and realisation of the pre-construction measures as part of the planning approval documents in accordance with § 21 NABEG.
The scope of G.E.O.S.'s tasks includes:
- Assisting in the preparation of the documents required by the BNetzA in the respective frameworks.
- Control and coordination of the pre-construction measures in Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt
- Coordination and expert examination of the subsoil investigations, contaminated sites and waste assessments for the § 21 documents according to NABEG
- Monitoring and quality assurance of on-site exploration activities
- Management of the process of obtaining permission to operate the site
- Organisation of the toleration processes
- Management of archaeological surveys in Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt
- Support in the planning and application of compensatory and replacement measures
- Support in the assessment and evaluation of environmental reports
