G.E.O.S. participates in the implementation of the Geological Data Act - New handling of geological data

On the initiative and invitation of the Central Saxony Regional Chamber of the Chemnitz Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a workshop on the implementation of the Geological Data Act (GeolDG), which came into force on 20 June 2020, was held in Freiberg on 13 July 2022.

Inspired by a keynote speech by the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG), representatives of the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMEKUL), the LfULG, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Saxon companies discussed in detail the legal obligations resulting from the GeolDG and practical tasks for the provision of geological data.

Kersten Kühn, Head of the Deposits Department, took part in this lively discussion on behalf of G.E.O.S.. The key issues identified are to be specified in further thematic discussion rounds in the near future.
