G.E.O.S. Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH expands its market position and takes over WISUTEC as a branch office

The Chemnitz-based company WISUTEC Umwelttechnik GmbH was merged with G.E.O.S. Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH on 1 January 2021. With the signed merger agreement, WISUTEC ceased to exist as an independent company and G.E.O.S. opened a branch office in Chemnitz. As a result, WISUTEC now operates under the name WISUTEC as a branch of G.E.O.S. Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH.

G.E.O.S. purchased all shares in WISUTEC Umwelttechnik GmbH already in 2010. The company operated under the name WISUTEC Umwelttechnik GmbH from 2009 to 2020 and enjoys a high profile in specialist circles. With the merger, WISUTEC will now be integrated into G.E.O.S. Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH and the course will be set for modern and sustainable joint marketing.

All the services previously offered by WISUTEC for the existing customer base and for new customers will be continued. They will stay focussed on the areas of mining remediation, geoinformatics, radiation protection and environmental monitoring at national and international level. The services of G.E.O.S. will be added, so that customers can now be offered a broad range of services from a single source and, if necessary, these can be supported by specialists from other fields.

With the transfer of operations, G.E.O.S. is taking on all 17 WISUTEC employees. Together with the G.E.O.S. branch in Chemnitz, which has existed since 2019, the company now employs a total of 23 highly qualified employees at the Chemnitz site.
