German-Czech cooperation in the raw materials sector
G.E.O.S. welcomes representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Czech Geological Survey
As part of the Saxon-Czech cooperation project recomine SN-CZ, a business development company (Wirtschaftsförderung Erzgebirge GmbH) invited project partners with backgrounds in mining from Saxony and the Czech Republic to Ehrenfriedersdorf in September 2021 to discuss the topic of "Heavy metal pollution from water-dissolving adits".
At the beginning of November 2021, G.E.O.S. took the opportunity to exchange technical information on current mining topics in a follow-up meeting with high-ranking representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Czech Geological Survey. The discussion focused on sharing of experiences on the new requirements for the exploration and processing of raw materials for the energy and mobility transition. Of particular interest were new technologies for raw material exploration, such as AI methods, which G.E.O.S. is working on.
As a result, it was agreed to continue talks on details of the implementation of the raw materials strategies of both countries.
