Befesa Zinc Freiberg GmbH is certified according to the standards environmental management according to EMAS III, quality management according to DIN ISO 90001:2015, occupational health and safety management according to OHRIS 2010 as well as greenhouse gas management according to DIN ISI 14061-1:2016. Compliance with the standards is externally audited annually and recertified per standard in 3-year cycles.

In order to be able to prove to the external auditors that works have been carried out in compliance with the standard, a number of documents have to be created or internal audits have to be carried out and documented. G.E.O.S. supports Befesa Zinc Freiberg GmbH in this work within a framework agreements that has existed since 2005. Since then, all external audits have been successfully completed and the certifications have been regularly renewed.
