Konzeption, Erstellung und Inbetriebnahme eines Umweltinformationssystems für die Begleitung der Uranbergbausanierung in Kirgisistan

As part of the TRANSPOND R&D project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the G.E.O.S. branch WISUTEC, together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Kyrgyz project partners, have developed a concept for the establishment of an environmental information system to accompany the remediation of the former uranium mining sites in Kyrgyzstan.

Based on this concept, WISUTEC was entrusted with the development, delivery, implementation and go-live of the system. WISUTEC installed the necessary hardware in the Kyrgyz Ministry of Disaster Management in Bishkek.

Das Informationssystem dient der

    • Recording of all data on the rehabilitation objects including their geometries
    • Recording of previous and ongoing environmental data (Local dose rate, radon, groundwater and surface water data)
    • Recording of drilling data
    • Recording of all relevant documents and photos, and
    • reporting

The system is based on .NET technology, uses a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database and has portal access for secure authentication and authentication. It provides the user with a web based geo-information system.

All data are collected for the assessment of radiation exposure and for the evaluation of remediation success.

Services
