Feasibility study for the deep geothermal energy project Neuried (Germany)

As part of the feasibility study, G.E.O.S. investigated the possibility of sinking a geothermal double doublet in the Neuried permit field in the Upper Rhine Valley.

The complete feasibility study, including seismic data processing and interpretation by the subcontractor DMT, was completed in less than three months.

Services

  • Assessment of the geological and hydrogeological conditions in the permit field
  • Legal framework and status of permits
  • 3D seismic data processing (subcontractor DMT-Petrologic)
  • Seismic interpretation and depth conversion (subcontractor DMT, final interpretation by G.E.O.S.)
  • Stress field analysis and geomechanical stability analysis including borehole stability (subcontractor geomecon)
  • Identification and optimisation of drilling targets and preliminary drilling paths
  • Geothermal simulation
  • Cost estimation
  • Development of a Probability of Success Study (POS) for flow rate, temperature as well as thermal and electrical performance
