Groundwater monitoring for the Freital public waterworks

Since 2006, G.E.O.S. has been in charge of the integral groundwater monitoring for the wastewater company of the city of Freital. The main focus of the monitoring is on those areas where high groundwater levels are expected to cause problems with increased wastewater generation due to extraneous water (from the nearby valley aquifer).

A project database developed by G.E.O.S. is used to record and manage the existing groundwater and surface water monitoring sites in the urban area of Freital. In addition to information on the monitoring sites, all groundwater level measurements are recorded in the database. Furthermore, the wastewater data provided by the client as well as the precipitation data of the rain gauges installed in the urban area of Freital can be accessed from the database.
