Preliminary investigation of an ash landfill in Magdeburg (Germany)

G.E.O.S. carried out the preliminary investigation of the ash landfill of a mechanical and engineering plant in Magdeburg. An investigation of the soil, soil air and groundwater was carried out as well as a drone survey of the landfill by infrared camera.

As a result, G.E.O.S. prepared the risk assessment for the affected assets in combination with a stability assessment. In addition, a comprehensive monitoring programme was developed, planned and successfully implemented.
