R&D for the processing of primary raw materials: Lithium extraction

Within the scope of several projects, G.E.O.S. developed a processing method for the extraction of lithium from complexly composed greisen ores. After mechanical preparation and roasting of the lithium mica, the valuable material is brought into solution and selectively separated in subsequent process steps. G.E.O.S. developed the entire technology, including immobilisation of the residues in the laboratory, and designed a complete pilot-scale technical plant based on these results.
